Nextdo ("we", "us") builds a local-first AI meeting-notes app for macOS. This policy explains what we collect today — while the product is in private beta — and how we'll handle your data when the app ships. Questions? Email support@nextdo.ai.

Right now, this site does one thing: if you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. That's it. No tracking cookies, no advertising pixels, no profiles.

1. The waitlist

When you submit the waitlist form, we collect the email address you enter (and nothing else). We use it only to:

send you an early-access invite when Nextdo is ready;
send occasional, low-volume updates about the launch.

We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for their own marketing. Your address is stored with our hosting and email providers (e.g. our static host and email-delivery service) purely to deliver these messages. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email, or by emailing support@nextdo.ai, and we'll delete your address.

2. Cookies & analytics

This waitlist site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability, and may use privacy-respecting, aggregate traffic measurement that does not identify you.

3. The Nextdo app (when it launches)

Nextdo is designed to be local-first. When the app is available:

On-device by default. Recording and transcription run locally on your Mac. Your audio and transcripts do not leave your device unless you turn on a cloud feature.
Cloud transcription (optional). If you enable it, audio is sent to our speech-to-text provider to be transcribed.
AI features (optional). If you use AI summaries or action-item extraction, the relevant transcript text is sent to the model provider you choose (e.g. Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic). You may also bring your own API keys.
Calendar sync (optional). If you connect a calendar, we use that connection only to create the events you approve.
Account & billing. If you create an account or subscribe, we process the minimum needed (e.g. email, subscription status) via our auth and payment providers. We never see your full card details.

A complete, app-specific policy will accompany the product at launch.

4. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you (today, that's your waitlist email). Email support@nextdo.ai and we'll act on it promptly.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the new version here.
